Join us for our 6th annual Fall/Winter Trout Fly Fishing Clinic! This 3 hour introduction to fly fishing will be held at our shop in Canyon Lake as well as the Guadalupe River and will be focused on trout fly fishing techniques. Expect to learn the basics of fly fishing, fly selection, knot tying, and casting.

Together, with Real Ale Brewing Company, we are hosting a 4 hour (3 hours of instruction) fly fishing clinic focused around our most popular, local warm water game fish. This is a great opportunity for the beginner to intermediate fly fisher or wanna-be fly fisher to learn the techniques it takes to enjoy their time outside with a fly rod. The day will start with an intro presentation to fly fishing and your equipment and progress through knot tying and fly selection. We’ll then take a lunch break after which we will reconvene for casting instruction on the lawn and a friendly casting competition with prizes! Equipment IS included in your registration fee which is suitable for most of our local species.

This is a KID FRIENDLY event.

There should be a food truck on site, but just in case there isn’t or you are so inclined please feel free to bring a lunch. You may also take the short cruise back into Blanco for many other options, just make sure your back in time for the remainder of the instruction. We will update with any food options as we get closer to the event.

After the clinic is over we encourage you to take the time to tour the brewery/distillery and enjoy some of the best libations Texas has to offer.
